Soap and shampoo craft AMAZILIA®
La Loma del Mango offers soap and shampoo for the duration of your stay. We have decided to work with local artisans to offer you products of the highest quality, respectful of your body and the environment.
Our Planet is beautiful ! So we took the party to protect it by adopting product without the packaging and ingredients not harmful to the water.

Water and electricity
The water supply to the house comes from a drilling tapping directly into the water table.
We have a tank of 1,100 liters upstream which we will filter out the impurities.
In spite of this filtration, we recommend that you do not drink this water.
To quench your thirst, you have glasses in your room and distributor of cold water in the kitchen.
The house is powered by the public electricity grid.
This network is unstable and power cuts are common in the country !
We have a small generator that allows you to provide a service in cold water at a minimum.
If the break is in the middle of the night, you will find candles in your room.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
Your waste
La Loma del Mango sorting its waste, and we invite you to do the same. We bring the waste to be sorted 2 times per month at the recycling center of Mariato.
In your room you will find a bin for all of your waste, used the bathroom, and all of your contaminated waste (cotton stalk, cotton to remove makeup, handkerchief and used sanitary towels...).
In the kitchen (behind the island), you'll find a trash sorting :
If there are any remaining organic waste on or in the containers, please wash in water beforehand.

Laundry
La Loma del Mango offers a paid service laundry :
- Machine wash (baking soda)
- Drying machine
Condition : at least 10 kg of laundry to wash
Price : 5$
Operation :
- Pick the bread basket with linen GREY put close to the washing machine and put on your clothes.
- Put your laundry in the washing machine.
- We will put the machine on the road and upload your laundry in the dryer.
- The bread basket with the clean cloth and dried shall be deposited in front of the door of your room.
You only have a few business to wash ?
A laundry room to hand is at your disposal at the level of the workshop, as well as Marseille soap and a brush.
You can hang your washing on the clothes dryer your terrace.

Served at 8am*.

while enjoying the view.

National park of Cerro Hoya
The national park of Cerro Hoya guarantees you beautiful treks.
The Cerro Hoya is not signposted, so it's important to go with a guide who knows the place.
Your guide will talk to you about the legends, will introduce you to the trees and plants, will help you identify the traces of jaguars, ocelots, ñeques... Open your eyes, you are being watched from the treetops !

Nesting and releasing of turtles
The association for the conservation of turtles Malena contributes to the protection of species of marine turtles of the coast.
Join the volunteers at the rôdes night in the spawning period or early in the morning to release the new-born babies.

Observation of dolphins and whales

The Coiba national park

Surf
MORRILLO
Spot world waves tubular spectacular. The Beach Break most constant of Panama and the waves of the left and right of great strength.
MARIATO
Playa Reina is a quiet beach, with a coral reef capricious, but fun when it works. There may be a nice long left and right.
The spot is suitable for beginners, but the water can sometimes become too deep to stand up.
PALO SECO
Go to the beach and Cocal, the 4th beach community of Palo Seco.
Admittedly this is not the spot of surfing the best known, but the atmosphere is very friendly and local.
Spot is ideal for beginners.
Walking trails to Torio
For small trips and a first approach of the local forest, we recommend the hiking paths Torio Village.
The 4 paths of level “easy” were scrawled. You will find a map of these trails at the level of the car park of the cascade of Torio. A first approach of the jungle as you go through in 1 hour.
Duration: 1 hour to cover the 4 trails
Hiking river Torio
During the period of the Verano, the bed of the river is low. In spite of the stones and rocks, it is easy to walk there. This is an opportunity to combine sports activities and observation of nature.
This hike is dotted with beaches and natural pools where you can relax.
Several paths can be followed from the river Torio. Here are a few ideas :s

Hiking in the valley of Azuero
The mountains of Azuero is a vast field wild for the adventure.
Most of the trails are not marked, but be aware that a lot of path following easements that you can borrow without a problem.
Also, the part of the bridge of Torio and go back up to Malena. A way of rolling hills with views of the ocean and views of the massif on the other side. It's really worth it !
Distance : 8 miles

Beaches and Rivers
Escondida beach | PALO SECO
Only 2km from the area of The Loma del Mango, you will find the most beautiful beach of Palo Seco.
With its fine sand, very little waves and a bit of background, it is ideal for bathing. Slip behind the coconut palms and almond trees... to enjoy a bit of freshness and chiller.
Beach of anse | LAS DUARTE
To access the cove wild and wonderful, you will need to cross a portal and go through the jungle. The path is worth the detour !
You'll love the fine sand and gentle waves. A treat for swimming.
In April, the mangoes are ripe ! For pick and taste of juicy mangoes, sit on the left side of the beach.
Waterfall of The Palmilla
This cascade does not appear on the cards, and yet it is worth it.
Then it's off for a 1.5 km walk, lasting between 20 and 30 minutes depending on your pace.
The trail follows the La Palmilla quebrada, crossing it 9 times. All along the way, you'll find shelter from the heat under the trees. Dare to push the cow gate that appears in front of you.
Turn left and the path leads down to the waterfall... You can hear it, it's there!
You'll have to be a bit daring to reach the first landing and dive into this beautiful, crystal-clear basin.
Malena waterfall
The 15-metre waterfall in a jungle setting is the objective of this walk.
Leave the GPS point on foot. Cross the village to reach the stream (quebrada) and turn right into the stream.
You'll now head upstream to the waterfalls.
The first half is straightforward, even if there are occasional rocks in the creek. As the creek crosses private property, you'll have to go through fences twice.
The stream splits into 2 large sides. Follow the left side.
The second half is much sportier. You'll be going over mostly rocks, with the occasional drop to the bottom.
You'll need to be daring and flexible to climb the 2 cliffs (always on the right) bordering the medium-sized cascades.
No regrets! Oh no!!! The Graal awaits you at the end.
On the way back, take a dip in one of the cool water basins. What a natural pleasure!
Waterfall of Torio
Enter the jungle, follow the path along the quebrada on the left... admire these majestic trees... cross the quebrada and continue along the quebrada on the right... listen... you've arrived!
A path enables you to move to the top of the waterfall. Feeling adventurous ? Walk in the bed of the quebrada to discover the jungle of Azuero.

Lagoon of the river Torio
From December to April, the level of the river Torio decreases and makes the place to be pretty pebble beaches.
Lay your towel on one of the numerous beaches and let yourself be lulled by the sounds of the water and the jungle.
The more you ascend the river Torio, the more the jungle is lush.
Attention : only a 4×4 vehicle can travel the road that follows the river.
