La Loma Del Mango

We love this place, you will too!

Welcome to our guest house.

The story

It all starts on August 31, 2021. That day, Sylvain cuts the chain of the gate which keeps closed the land we have just purchased in Palo Seco. At the top of the hill, we admire the views, we draw our future life, our new project.

On July 18, 2022, Panama becomes our new home.

La Loma del Mango

“Lo-ma, loooooma, loma, I like that Spanish word. »

Sylvain smiles at me, nods, more to please me than to approve, wondering where my mind still goes.

It is 2 p.m., for the umpteenth time we visit the field. We are still captivated by the mango trees, the view and the surrounding nature.

We decide to walk to the beach.

“How do you say mango in Spanish? »

“Mango, it seems to me. »

“Our house will be on the loma de los mangos. La loma de los mangos. Does that make a good name for our guest house? »

“Yeah, it’s nice. La loma de los mangos. »

" Or… What does it do in the singular? »

“The loma del mango. »

“Si. It sounds so much better! La Loma del Mango. »

This is what La Loma Del Mango is, a life project that we are building together, to get together and experience new adventures.

We have decided to share this adventure with you. La Loma Del Mango, will therefore be a meeting place, a popular accommodation where you can

Clear your head : The accommodations are individual and isolated from each other. These spaces are designed for 2 people, uncluttered and free of any electronic equipment.

Re-discover nature : Each accommodation is designed to be as open to the outside as possible. The individual and collective living spaces are covered so that the traveler can observe nature at all times, even in rainy weather.

Rethink your lifestyle : no washing machine, table service, air conditioner, swimming pool... the objective being to get back to basics, reactivate your senses, become aware of the fragility of the environment and the exhaustion of natural resources .

Open yourself to the world : the shared kitchen is designed as a community space to share convivial moments with other travelers. House

An atypical concept

Panama is a mix of cultures. Panamanians will tell you that there are no foreigners here. We therefore decided to pay tribute to this open-mindedness.

La Loma Del Mango is an atypical place where the history of Panama takes shape through our cabins. Upon arrival, the traveler is immersed in the different periods that marked the country:

LA EMBERÁ pays homage to the origins of Panama, to the indigenous peoples who gave birth to this country.

EL DIABLO pays tribute to the United States. The gringos have westernized everyday life by importing surfing, horses, baseball, the dollar, Coca-Cola…

Soon you will be able to discover our tribute

  • to France and its crazy canal project in Panama,
  • to the African people who brought color and rhythm to local habits,
  • during Spanish colonization, they left with the gold but left their language behind!

We are only at the beginning. There is still so much to do to see the project succeed.
But we don't give up and do everything necessary to make your visit to the Azuero sunset coast an unforgettable moment.
